Yesterday was the day from hell. Traveling to me is never fun. Our flight from Hilton Head was at 2:00. I don't know if any of you have flown from there before but it is notorious for it's extremely short landing strip. The plane only fits about 20 people and all luggage is weighed to make sure the plane clears the trees and gets off the ground. The day we left happened to have a lot of storms on the east coast. Turbulence was ridiculous due to the storm clouds. Now you should know I'm a big baby when it comes to any kind of thrill seeking, stomach dropping, roller-coaster type of activity. This flight was no different than the way I would've handled a roller-coaster. I hated it for the entire hour. I dug my hand into my husband's and my other hand was clenched so tight around his arm that there was no room for circulation. My eyes were squeezed shut, I was sweating profusely, and by the end of the trip small tears were rolling down my face (which I proceeded to try and hide by my sunglasses). Like I said, big baby (I'm going to blame it on pregnancy hormones!). By the time we got off the plane I was so stressed out I felt light headed and dizzy. I was horribly embarrassed and wished that this moment would never have to be relived again. Ah, the joys of traveling!
